Frame the outer edges with rosemary or other fresh herbs. A quick and easy update to a fruit tray. If you have refrigerator space, add refrigerated items to the nibble board, cover and refrigerate, and then add herbs, nuts, and other items when you serve it on Christmas morning. I love using a lazy Susan under the dish so that guests can turn the wreath to serve themselves. Ingredients Select the ingredients that your family loves from savory to sweet. Here are a few suggestions: • Fruit - strawberries, grapes, blueberries, kiwi, dates, raspberries, craisins, oranges • Meats - cooked bacon, Canadian bacon, salami, cured meats, deli meats, prosciutto wrapped mozzarella rolls • Cheeses - white cheddar, blueberry goat cheese, cranberry stilton, Gouda, brie, string cheese, or other favorites • Nuts - smoked almonds, walnuts, glazed pecans • Other ideas - add in favorite small muffins, powdered donuts, sugared cranberries, crackers, or dollar pancakes • Herbs - tuck in your favorite herbs to make the “wreath” – rosemary, basil, thyme, sage, and/or oregano Make this nibble board to suit those who have their feet under your table! Christmas morning brunch with items made the day before makes for easy and less stressful gathering. From a French toast blueberry casserole, carafes filled with coffee and hot chocolate, and a beautiful wreath nibble board created from fruits, meats, and cheeses, you are set to have happy guests who have their feet under your table.
