MISSION The mission of Family Service Society is to serve as a crisis resource to families of Paducah and McCracken County. HOLIDAY NEEDS Each year, Family Service Society’s Santa for a Senior program brings Christmas to more than 500 seniors and adults with disabilities in the community. For many of those served, these gifts may be the only pres- ents they receive and their only opportunity to share holiday food with others. More than anything, Santa for a Senior reminds them that they are remembered, valued, and cared for during the holiday season. Deadline to donate for Santa for a Senior is December 4th. HOW YOUR GIFT HELPS Community members can help make the holidays brighter for senior neigh- bors through monetary donations, sponsoring a senior, or hosting a food drive. Their generosity helps put food on the table, place gifts under the tree, and bring a little extra joy into seniors’ lives. Every gift, big or small, helps ensure no senior feels forgotten this Christmas. HEARTFELT HOLIDAYS MISSION The Mayfield Enrichment Center’s mission is to serve underserved popula- tions in Western Kentucky, including low-income individuals, people of col- or, and seniors. By expanding access to resources and opportunities, the organization seeks to enrich, empower, and equip individuals to become productive and engaged members of the community. HOLIDAY NEEDS Mayfield Enrichment Center hosts an annual end-of-year banquet honoring individuals whose contributions to the community often go unrecognized. Past honorees have included disaster-response heroes, leaders serving underserved populations, past and present BIPOC city service workers, and youth making a difference. This year, the banquet will celebrate wom- en making a difference in the community. Deadline is December 18th. HOW YOUR GIFT HELPS End-of-year donations to Mayfield Enrichment Center will help expand its School Break Feeding Program to include winter break, providing food assistance to students and families when school meals are unavailable. Through partnerships with Mayfield and Graves County Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC), healthcare organizations, churches, and other community partners, the organization identifies families in need.
