HEARTFELT HOLIDAYS MISSION To empower children and families in Western Kentucky through education, advocacy, and treatment to prevent child abuse and foster safety, family stability, healthy relationships, and overall well-being so children who have experienced abuse and neglect have the opportunity to thrive. HOLIDAY NEEDS The holiday season can be especially difficult for children in foster care because of abuse or neglect. To make the season a little brighter, Child Watch Counseling and Advocacy Center provides each child served by its CASA of West Kentucky program with a handmade, personalized stocking filled with toys and gifts. More than 150 children, from infants to teens, will receive stockings this year, made possible in part through toy and gift donations from the community. This year, former Paducah businessman and philanthropist Tommy Blair is also support- ing the effort through the “Tommy Blair Challenge,” matching donations up to $10,000 to benefit Child Watch and the children it serves. Deadline to donate is December 11th. HOW YOUR GIFT HELPS Charitable gifts help Child Watch Counseling and Advocacy Center provide critical services for child abuse victims and prevention education for children throughout the region. All services are provided free of charge, ensuring children and families can receive the support they need regardless of their ability to pay.
