AGC has provided industry representation on program advisory and steering committees, been a regional sponsor for nationally recognized industry certifications for programs, instructors and students, supported SkillsUSA competitions, conducted career exploration opportunities such as the annual Construction Career Day Event with an average attendance of 1,600 regional tech students, and connected graduating students to local AGC member employers seeking trade skilled employees. School Spotlight Paducah Area Technology Center The vision of the Paducah Area Technical Center (PATC) is to grow talent for the region through immersive experiences in technology, trades, healthcare, river industry and more. The PATC is a part of the Paducah Innovation Hub. Being part of the Hub offers PATC students opportunities to collaborate with students in Engineer- ing, CAD, Virtual Reality, Robotics, Art, and Computer Science to enhance and expand their PATC experience. Our mission is to build relationships between a highly skilled workforce and regional industry partners so that talented young adults want to come back to Paducah. To accomplish that, we seek to develop internship and career exploration experiences for our students. Our partners in this mission include regional industry leaders in healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and automotive service & repair. High School students from Paducah Independent, McCracken County, St. Mary, and Community Christian Academy as well as home school and private school students are eligible to attend.
