SUPPORT BUSINESSES THAT MAKE OUR MISSION POSSIBLE INTHEVUE.COM | APRIL 2024 83 Among the pages, there have been articles that have left their impression. There’s the sto- ry of my family during the Mayfield tornado, a teacup tour of Paducah, a winter picnic at Lake Glendale, the importance of the family farm, a glimpse of my dad, Noble Park Fun- land, a visit to an orchard, and simply sharing thoughts and ideas and life. July 2022, writing for the recipes began. A savory and sweet recipe each month has stretched me to new areas and ideas that have been both welcome and exciting. It’s sweet confirmation when someone lets me know how much they love an article or recipe. A simple reminder that I am “listening” and “writing” with heart and intent that is touch- ing someone. Truly the purpose of the VUE magazine, don’t you think? Touching all who are readers is my hope and intention in being here. Giving a bit of insight and thought into our every day lives. Celebrating with feet gathered under a table with a bit of great food and conversation. Adding moments of a DIY or seasonal preparations that add a bit of fun and joy among the pages is always welcomed. Contributions of 40 monthly articles, five seasonal inserts, and DIY’s, and over 30,000 words written with 225 photos produced astounds me. Then there have been 21 months with 42 recipes created, prepared with another 42 photographs of recipes shared with you here. Hours of preparation that have been exhilarating to produce. Thank you, Carolyn and Maggie, for making room among the pages of the VUE to allow “Feet Under My Table” to share thoughts, moments, and memories along with great food for readers each month. So happy to be a part of the VUE magazine’s 10-year celebration! Bring on the food! Bring on the celebration! Bring on the joy! But please don’t blow out the candles just yet…let’s keep them lit for years to come. Bringing light, life, and celebration to all!
