SUPPORT BUSINESSES THAT MAKE OUR MISSION POSSIBLE INTHEVUE.COM | APRIL 2026 75 truly gave life to Stomp. Joelle’s hope has always been that Stomp stays true to its purpose and remains something special for our local community. One thing that has always meant a lot to her is that the money raised never left our community; it went right back to helping the people around us. “It has also been so fun and meaningful to watch the young performers grow up through Stomp over the years. Seeing their confidence and passion grow has been such a joy, and I know Cindy is really going to enjoy that part of it too,” said Long. “I’m incredibly happy that Stomp made such an impact, and it’s truly a blessing that someone is continuing it, especially someone as wonderful as Cindy,” said Long. “She genuinely has a heart for cancer patients and for this community, and I know the event will continue to do amazing things under her care.... I gladly pass the baton.” While Stomp Cancer is still in the planning stages, they already have their eyes set on a wonderful dinner and stomp event to help raise funds to support and bring energy that’ll help cancer patients and warriors know that the community is behind them through it all - from start to finish. “It’s very important to me to let our community know that we will be keeping all of our funding local, to support our patients and survivors here at home,” said Malray. During planning, Malray has noted that they will always need volunteers - not only for the night, but also for the non-profit in general. There are many moving parts, so volunteers are extremely important to the mission. Anyone interested in volunteering can reach out to Cindy, at
[email protected] or on the Facebook group, “Stomp Cancer, Inc”, and send her a message. Malray hopes that in the next five to ten years down the road, Stomp Cancer has become a community that helps those who need it most, is a source they can lean on, and an outlet of providing whatever they need while they fight and recover from cancer. “NO ONE fights cancer alone,” said Malray. “Not with Stomp Cancer.” ©VUE2026
