agenda, I literally schedule and write down everything. I schedule date nights, dinner dates, time with grandkids, community and church events, activities amongst other things. My relationship with God and my calendar/agenda keeps me balanced. Joseph - I have an internal plan that I rarely deviate from. Anything on my daily, weekly, monthly plan has to pass the “self-question”. Does this activity, event, vacation, meeting, enhance the value of the relationships I care most about? If the answer is yes, then I follow up with how? This rule is to make sure I am “present” in the moment. I want to be “present” in the moments with my wife, children, grandchildren, successes, community activities, and opportunities. We get so “busy” we often miss the things that mean so much to us. Social media and the internet has many looking at phones and devices more than interacting with our human relationships and person-to- person communication. Does your family have a motto? If so, what is it? “It’s a GREAT day to have a GREAT day”. Every day the Lord allows us to see another day is a great day and “Practice Makes Improvement”. Whatever it is, practice, practice, practice. NEVER give up because every time you practice there will be improvement. What are the core values of your family? In all things put GOD first. Seek Godly wisdom, instructions, and guidance. Do what is right when no one is looking. Always help others as much as possible, never forgetting to give God glory in all things. Do you have any family traditions? “MOVIE NIGHTS”. We all gather in the den with snacks and watch movies. Yearly vacations and weekly bike rides. What brings you the greatest joy as a parent? Tiffany - Seeing the prayers I prayed for my children and grandchildren come to pass. Joseph - Watching the youthfulness of our children, their success and happiness, and seeing my grandchildren develop and grow. Tell us something interesting about your family that we may not know. We love to laugh! We are funny and like to have a good time, but most importantly we are always looking, discussing, brainstorming, or thinking of ideas of how we can help others. We understand that it is not about us. We were placed here to make a difference, bring change, and be a living testimony of the goodness of God.
