EVENT RE-VUE KIDS KARE ^ƵƐĂŶ tĂŐŶĞƌ, :ĂƐŽŶ ŵLJdž, ĂŶĚĂŶĐĞ ŵLJdž, ^ŚĂƵŶ ƌĂŶĞ, ŵĂŶĚĂ ^ĐŽƩ, dĞƌĞƐĂ ZLJĂŶ This years Kare for Kids party had 68 children that were matched one-on-one with a volunteer. They spent the day playing games, eating, seeing Santa, making crafts, and shopping at Walmart. Donations from fund-raisers, local businesses, and individuals fully support this non-profit (there are no paid positions). Children in foster care rarely have money of their own (unless they work), so shopping is always a big deal! There are lots of bicycles, electronics, toys, musical instruments, games, etc., etc. chosen for purchase!! ZŚŽŶĚĂ ƐŚ, ůĞdžŝƐ ƐŚ WĂƫ &ůĞƚĐŚĞƌ, d: ĂǀŝĚƐŽŶ EŽĂŚ, ^Ăŵ, ĂƐĞLJ ƌĂŶĞ Kare for Kids started providing a Christmas party for children in foster care in 1997 by a group of people (and their family & friends) who worked at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant site. The children are chosen by the Cabinet for Families and Children Services in Paducah.
