years CELEBRATING WHEN I THINK OF VUE MAGAZINE, I’m filled with gratitude, laughter, and a sense of accomplishment from the many experiences and relationships I made along the way that have significantly shaped my life. As the self-appointed “Idea Hero”, I found myself alongside an incredible and dynamic group of ladies who took a bold step in hiring a pastor to join their team. In fact, when I first started working at VUE it was the same time we had planted rest Church…and I didn’t know then, what I know now, in how much VUE would be such an integral part of my life. Starting out as an Account Executive I had the privilege of both covering and attending some amazing local partner and charity events with VUE. I got to see firsthand VUE’s commitment to the mantra “LOCAL MATTERS, CHARITIES MATTER, AND ADAM BRETZ COMMUNITY EVENTS MATTER”. From golf outings and shrimp boils, to delivering beds and attending conferences, each day brought on a new and fun adventure! I found out quickly that being part of this team meant that we didn’t just work together; but, we served together and also played together, creating bonds that extended far beyond a professional realm. From couch naps to Titans games, to theological conversations across the hallway and even many of the ladies babysitting my kids. I’ll always have a deep place in my heart for each one of them. If I had to define “VUE” in one memory, for me it would be the moment when we walked in together to a Chamber event, ensuring the “VUE presence” was felt and known as we cased the entire room with a speaker playing loudly as our team paraded around to- gether. It was really a funny moment, but also a testament to VUE, that VUE and its partners and its charities won’t be overlooked! It was a declaration on the camaraderie and collective spirit of our entire team. In fact, “team” is a great way to think of VUE. And I cannot say enough about the “teams” investment in me over the years. I collect- ed invaluable lessons in sales, marketing, photography, videography, and design software. I was able to learn the intricacies of build- ing websites and managing so- cial media, alongside honing in writing skills and interpersonal communication. I am so deeply appreciative of the investment Carolyn and Maggie made in me, which has in turn helped me to serve the church and my community in a way I never would’ve been able to before. VUE’s mission is to engage the community in charitable endeavors, through inspiring stories and captivating photos, through print, online, and social media, uniting people to make a tangible difference. I’m so glad I got to play a small part in that difference and now carry along with me life-long friends who’ve blessed me in so many ways. So, remember, “IF YOU ARE NOT IN VUE...THEN YOU ARE NOT IN VIEW”!! 76 JULY 2024 | INTHEVUE.COM
