100 NOVEMBER 2024 | INTHEVUE.COM Heartfelt Holidays Paducah Area Christmas Cops, Inc. provides financial assistance to students and families in Paducah/McCracken County while partnering with local school districts. The Christmas Cops Program has positively connected law enforcement to local families in need since 1987. Officers from the Paducah Police Department, McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kentucky State Police volunteer their day to shop with approximately 20 local families each July and December. Paducah Area Christmas Cops serves 7th and 8th grade, as well as high school students in Paducah and McCracken County. During the holidays, they provide families $200 per child for clothing and toys and $250 per family for groceries. Families shop with an officer and enjoy a catered lunch at Walker Hall, with a special visit from Santa. The annual fundraising dinner is on November 21, 2024, at Walker Hall. By providing a safe, loving home and offering individual and family therapy, life skills development, and compassionate care, NPFC brings hope to children in crisis, helping them overcome neglect, abuse, homelessness, and other harmful environments. Through this Christ-centered approach, the organization seeks to instill in each child a sense of hope and belonging. New Pathways for Children serves boys and girls aged 6 months to 18 years, focusing on children in crisis from Western Kentucky and surrounding areas. During the holidays, they aim to provide $250 in Christmas gifts per child. Donations, whether partial or full, help create joyful memories for the children and offer a rewarding experience for donors.
