16 NOVEMBER 2025 | INTHEVUE.COM STARFISH ORPHAN MINISTRY HEARTFELT HOLIDAYS THE HUGS PROJECT OF WKY MISSION Starfish Orphan Ministry is dedicated to impacting the lives of children without a complete family, both locally and around the world. HOLIDAY OPPORTUNITIES Starfish Orphan Ministry provides an opportunity for the community to bring joy to children in need during the holiday season. Donations of toys and gifts—especially for teens—help ensure that children under the age of 18, both locally and around the world, experience a brighter Christmas. The Ministry also decorates Christmas trees for homes with children, creating festive and memorable experiences for families. Donated gifts should be submitted by December 11th to ensure they are included in the holiday programs. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Community members can also get involved by volunteering to help decorate trees or assisting with other holiday programs. Those interested can fill out a volunteer application at the Ministry to participate in these meaningful opportunities and make a tangible difference in the lives of children. MISSION The Hugs Project of WKY is dedicated to sharing love and support with troops serving overseas, with a particular focus on reaching those who receive little to no support from home. Its mission is to bring joy and encouragement, putting smiles on the faces of service members during challenging times. HOLIDAY OPPORTUNITIES The Hugs Project of Western Kentucky invites the community to participate in its holiday effort to support deployed troops. Throughout the season, volunteers can help during pre-packing, packing, and shipping days, contributing to the creation and delivery of Christmas packages filled with care and holiday cheer. These packages bring encouragement, comfort, and a reminder that our service members are appreciated and remembered, especially during the holiday season. Deployed troops are the direct beneficiaries of this program, receiving much-needed support and joy from the community back home. If you would like to volunteer, packing for Christmas packages starts on October 15th and will continue through November 30th. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES The Hugs Project of Western Kentucky provides a way for the community to support deployed troops. The organization, run entirely by volunteers, hosts events at various locations and organizes raffles to raise funds. These contributions are used to purchase items for care packages and cover postage to ensure the packages reach service members overseas. By participating, donors and volunteers help bring comfort, encouragement, and support to troops far from home. donation drop-off 1000 Broadway St, Paducah, KY 42001 phone 270-933-1250 email [email protected] mail 4931 Epperson Road, Paducah, KY 42003 website www.thehugsprojectofwky.com phone 270-556-4469 HOW TO Donate HOW TO Donate
