EVENT RE-VUE JOSIAH’S JOURNEY FUNDRAISER AT PADUCAH IMPROV Photos Taken By Josh Snow Brian Courtney ůĂƵĚŝĂ ,ĂƌƌŝƐ, :ŽƐŚ >ŝŶǀŝůůĞ ĂƌŵŝŶ DĂƌĂŶŽ, ůLJƐƐĂ ZĂŐƐĚĂůĞ : tŽŽĚ Paducah Improv first heard about Cheryl Wood through team member Brian Courtney, who saw a Facebook post about Cheryl starting a fundraiser for the St. Jude’s Memphis Marathon. She’d be participating in memory of her son, Josiah who passed away from a rare childhood cancer, Retinoblastoma. Cheryl had only raised $90, which was a long way from her $1,500 goal. Brian, the father of two boys, immediately jumped at the opportunity to help; “I can’t imagine what your family has gone through, anything Paducah Improv can do to help honor (your) little boy is something we’d all be down to do”. Paducah Improv collectively decided they’d donate the entirety of their ticket sales from their August 26th , 7 p.m. show for Cheryl’s St. Jude’s fundraiser. They raised $536 in ticket sales, cash donations, and an additional donation from the team itself.
