By the end of the day, there were about 25 hair appointments that kept Lomanitini’s scissors busy all day.In addition to the haircuts, there were several people who showed up at the event to eat at the Easy Street food truck, which was available during the lunch hour. A portion of the proceeds from the food sales also were donated to Project Hope. In addition to a silent auction that was held all day, BarkAiD Metropolis was able to raise about $1450 for Project Hope, the most successful BarkAID Metropolis event to date. Organizers of the event hope next year there will be more hair salons involved in this event and hope to make it bigger and better to help the animals at the shelter.
