VUE OUR PARTNERS NIGHT AT NOON Photos Taken By Josh Snow Allison Terry, Caitlyn Watson Cora Henderson, Will Henderson, Sara Henderson, Sienna Henderson Over 3,000 WKCTC students, faculty, staff and visitors from all across the country and the world were in awe during the total solar eclipse at WKCTC’s Night at Noon eclipse party on Monday, August 21. Cheers could be heard across campus as the moon moved into position over the sun. During totality, those cheers grew louder, and some shed tears as all eyes were locked on the sky for this historic event. Prior to the eclipse, visitors enjoyed fun activities, music, science demonstrations, great food from local vendors, and had the opportunity to see the NASA high altitude balloon launch. Former astronaut and Kentucky native, Colonel Terry Wilcutt, was Night at Noon’s eclipse emcee. He spoke to standing room only audiences of area middle and high school students and visitors about his space experiences, NASA’s current programs, and the concepts behind the awe-inspiring cosmic event.
