1114 Broadway St • Paducah, Kentucky 270.442.6688 • www.wsheltoncpa.com ©VUE2023 Ryan Conn, born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, developed a driven and warrior-like mindset from a young age. After earning a criminal justice degree from Harding University, where he also played football, Ryan and his wife, Natalie (a Paducah native), moved to Paducah. It was here they wanted to start a family, invest in a church and community, and where Ryan wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement. He rapidly rose through various leadership positions and ranks in the Paducah Police Department, including leading the SWAT team and Detective Units on perilous missions. While a warrior at heart, Ryan yearned to leverage his leadership skillset to develop others. In 2018, Wayne Shelton approached him to leave the police force and pour his energies into Shelton & Associ- ates, CPA as Vice President of Operations. Ryan led the accounting firm through a grueling transfor- mation, pushing the team to shatter revenue records during rapid expansion. Slaying complacency, the firm quadrupled profits under Ryan's focused leadership in just 3 years, while combating and leading through the pandemic. Energized by the thrill of leading and building, Ryan founded CS Business Consulting in 2020 as a platform to strengthen leaders and ignite growth for companies nationwide. His street-tested experience equipped him to storm into stagnant organizations and trigger personal ownership and growth among leadership teams and individuals alike. Now recognized among Paducah's top young achievers as a 2023 40 Under 40 honoree, Ryan continues to charge forward. He recently co-founded P27 Forge, a leadership incubator that forges both metal and impactful change in youth and small groups. Ryan also partners with churches and schools to develop life-altering programs focused on community service and growth mindsets. Though fierce about building businesses, Ryan has a gentle heart for people. He serves on several nonprofit boards and rallies his team behind benevolent projects. In 2018, Ryan secured federal grant funding to supply Narcan to all Paducah first responders, resulting in many lives saved from overdose. Ryan also established the Renewing Minds Foundation with his wife, which serves youth and young adults struggling with mental illness or those desiring to grow in the intellectual pursuits of their faith. He also serves as the Deacon of Benevolence and Security at the Central church of Christ in Paducah. In his spare time, Ryan coaches for McCracken County High School and hosts or leads youth events, including counseling at the West Kentucky Youth Camp. He is devoted to his family and helping them become faithful, helpful, and capable citizens. Ryan Conn continues to leverage his Ann Arbor roots and law enforcement foundation to build thriving businesses and serve people in Paducah. From cop to accountant and entrepreneur, Ryan charges ahead to lead organizations with passion and purpose.
