Kentucky Society of Healthcare Engineers Past President, Paducah Bank Board Member and Audit Committee Chair, Lifeline Recovery Center Board Member Matt Snow has made a significant impact in healthcare leadership, most recently overseeing Workplace Safety for the Baptist Health System, which spans 24,000 employees. Within his first year leading the department, Matt implemented data transparency, accountability measures, clear goals, and a structured process across the system. These initiatives resulted in a 37% reduction in the overall OSHA incident rate (TRCR), a 33% decrease in days away, restricted, or transferred (DART) cases, and a 47% drop in lost-time injuries. When Matt stepped into a system leadership role, he wasn’t replacing anyone—he was tasked with building a department from the ground up. His first challenge came as Baptist Health announced over $1 billion in construction projects over five years without standardized processes or controls. Matt quickly assembled a team, developed a consistent approach for managing the work, and implemented structures to keep leadership informed across hundreds of projects. That framework has become part of daily operations and enabled the successful execution of the system’s extensive construction initiatives. Beyond his work at Baptist Health, Matt has been actively involved in the Kentucky Society of Healthcare Engineers for seven years, serving in leadership roles and most recently as president. Under his guidance, the organization achieved record membership, expanded educational offerings, increased sponsorships, and grew revenue. His dedication to advancing healthcare engineering earned him the KSHE Distinguished Executive Award. Matt draws inspiration from Stephen Covey’s The Speed of Trust, applying principles of transparency, straight talk, listening, and accountability to foster a culture of trust within his teams. He believes that building trust eliminates unnecessary back-and-forth and allows his team to operate at their highest capacity. Looking ahead, Matt hopes his legacy reflects the values that guide his leadership: love, compassion, humility, forgiveness, integrity, fairness, and service. He strives to empower his team, ensuring they can excel independently and confidently lead when he steps away. For young professionals, Matt emphasizes excelling in the present role rather than focusing on the next promotion or raise. “Focus on showing up, going above and beyond, and demonstrating excellence in everything you do. Advancement will follow when your work speaks for itself,” he says, highlighting the importance of commitment, accountability, and integrity in achieving meaningful success. Matt Snow System Vice President, Support Services, Baptist Health System KY & IN Charity League of Paducah Associate Member & Past Snowball Chair, Paducah Professional Women Member, Kentucky Orthotic and Prosthetic Association Immediate Past President, Kentucky So Everybody Can Move, KOPA Advocacy Coalition, ABCOP Volunteer Meghan Ludwick has made a remarkable impact in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, rising quickly through the ranks while breaking new ground. In 2024, she served as President of the Kentucky Orthotic and Prosthetic Association and had the opportunity to lobby with state representatives on the “So Every Body Can Move” campaign. Meghan also became the first female clinic manager at Kenney Orthopedics in 2022, following a period of leadership as Chief Resident from 2020 to 2021, and she helped her clinic earn the Practice of the Year award in 2021. One of the biggest challenges in Meghan’s career came when she moved independently from Metro Detroit to Paducah to begin her residency. Leaving family behind was difficult, and she entered a field and a city that were new to her. The clinic she joined had only three employees, which made building a professional and social network challenging. Encouragement from coworkers led her to join local organizations, fostering lifelong friendships and professional connections. These relationships ultimately expanded her referral network and allowed her to better serve the community. Meghan stands out in her field not only as the only female clinic manager in Kentucky for her company but also through her focus on pediatric care. Her clinic manager role has allowed her to develop a pediatric care network across Western Kentucky, collaborating closely with school physical therapists as part of a multidisciplinary care team. Her mentor and former Residency Director has been a guiding influence, creating a residency program focused on practical, individualized learning rather than solely preparing for board exams. Meghan continues to rely on his advice, particularly his encouragement to “always choose the option that challenges you rather than what feels comfortable,” a philosophy she applies daily. Meghan hopes to inspire others to embrace discomfort and change, believing that growth and achievement often come from stepping outside familiar boundaries. She also shares practical advice for navigating challenging situations: “Fake it until you make it… then ask questions.” Preparation is important, but reflection and learning from each experience are what enable long-term growth and success. Through her leadership, innovation, and mentorship, Meghan continues to advance her field while encouraging others to rise to their fullest potential.
