Rotary Club of Paducah President Elect, Market House Theatre Board of Directors, Paducah Young Professionals Member, Leadership Paducah Class #32 Fundraising Chair, American Cancer Society Dancing With Our Stars Participant, American Cancer Society Real Men Wear Pink Fundraising Champion Riley Solomon has built a career defined by perseverance, dedication, and a commitment to helping others achieve financial confidence. In the spring of 2018, he was tasked with establishing a wealth management practice for CFSB Investments in Paducah— without a preexisting book of business to support growth. Over the past seven years, he has grown the practice into a trusted resource for over 200 clients, helping them navigate complex financial decisions and achieve long-term goals. One of the biggest challenges Riley faced was transitioning from a traditional banking role into financial advising. Starting from scratch meant building relationships, earning trust, and growing assets one client at a time—all while navigating complex markets, evolving regulations, and a highly competitive industry. Riley overcame this challenge through a combination of education, consistency, and community engagement. Earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation provided the technical knowledge and credibility he needed, while a steadfast commitment to transparency and client-focused guidance established him as a trusted partner in the financial journeys of those he serves. What sets Riley apart in his field is his ability to ensure clients feel fully confident in their financial plans. He doesn’t push strategies that clients aren’t comfortable with; instead, he educates, listens, and collaborates until the plan aligns with their goals and comfort level. This approach fosters deeper trust, stronger relationships, and better long-term outcomes. Riley draws inspiration from his parents—his mother, a teacher, and his father, a small business owner. From his mom, he learned patience, communication, and putting others’ growth first. From his dad, he gained the grit to build something from scratch, treat clients like family, and stay steady through challenges. These values shape how he approaches every client interaction, emphasizing integrity, reliability, and dedication. His advice to young professionals is simple but powerful: “Show up, sit at your desk, and start calling—no matter how you feel that day.” Success, he emphasizes, comes not from perfection but from showing up, being consistent, and putting in the work—even when it’s not glamorous. Riley Solomon Financial Advisor, CFSB Investments W.C. Young Community Center Board of Directors Samiya Donelson has built a career rooted in service, leadership, and a deep commitment to her community. One of her proudest professional accomplishments is stepping into the role of Outreach and Prevention Manager at Livwell. In this position, she has had the opportunity to lead community-based initiatives, forge meaningful partnerships, and expand outreach programs in ways that create real impact. For Samiya, the role represents a significant step forward in her professional journey, allowing her to align her skills and passion with tangible community outcomes. Beyond her work at Livwell, Samiya serves on the W.C. Young Board of Directors, contributing to the mission of a highly respected organization. She also participates on the planning committee for the Emancipation Proclamation Celebration, a role she describes as both meaningful and powerful, bringing the community together to honor history and foster unity. A major challenge in Samiya’s career came when she stepped into leadership with limited formal training during a transitional period within her organization. Managing a team, coordinating events, and making decisions that directly affected outreach efforts initially felt overwhelming. Instead of stepping back, Samiya sought guidance from mentors and embraced the learning curve. That experience reinforced her belief that growth often comes from leaving one’s comfort zone and that pressure can shape resilience and capability. Samiya stands out in her field because of her approach to relationships and community engagement. She builds trust with clients and partners through consistency, approachability, and reliability. Her work blends advocacy, compassion, and a strong work ethic, ensuring people remain at the center of every project. Her mentor, Melanie Nunn, has profoundly influenced Samiya’s professional journey. From her first job in high school to guiding her through complex leadership responsibilities, Melanie’s example of integrity, dedication, and advocacy continues to inspire Samiya’s approach to work and life. Samiya hopes to leave a legacy of impact. She wants to be remembered as someone who made resources more accessible, created safe and supportive spaces, and inspired others to lead with heart. Her goal is for her work to encourage advocacy, foster inclusion, and show that even small actions can create lasting change. Her advice for young professionals is simple but powerful: stay teachable, surround yourself with those who challenge and inspire you, and never forget that you belong at the table.
